Description

This educational treasure hunt for ages 8 to 12 takes students on a time travel adventure through Earth's geologic history.  Each page has a geologic time puzzle which, when solved, identifies the location of the next clue.

This treasure hunt is a great way to review what your student has learned about Geologic Time. It covers: key events on the Geologic Timeline, the Geologic Time Scale's Ages, Epochs, Eons, Eras and Periods, determining relative geologic time based on rock layers and fossil records, the five mass extinction events, and carbon dating using half-life.

To use this treasure hunt you will need a printer, eleven pieces of paper, and the following locations:
