“Dear Detective, We need your help! Our grandmother gave us her cafe, along with her secret dessert recipe which is so valuable she hid it somewhere in the store and only left us clues to find it!”

Description

There’s nothing quite as motivating as a quest! Ready-to-go, 9-part treasure hunt designed for ages 9 to 11. This treasure hunt reinforces the idea that fractions are just another way of saying division, decimals and percentages. Each page has a puzzle involving fractions, which identifies the location of the next clue, all themed around a detective mystery to help the owners of the Pie Place Cafe find their secret recipe! Take a break from screen time to get students moving while practicing their fraction skills, with the motivation to solve the mystery and find the treasure.

Easy to set up with the location to hide each clue clearly laid out. This activity will give your students 1 – 2 hours of fun! Includes solutions to each math puzzle, and hints you can hand your student if they get stumped.
